Technical Assurance

Technical assurance services aim to evidence and build on professional best practice guidelines for the wide deployment of open source software for the enterprise.

When a business seeks to promote that their project or service uses open source software, concern surrounds the handling of uncertainty in legal, risk and support arrangements. This uncertainty must be addressed through a technical review, to set out all the key management concerns, the scale and nature of open source deployment and support, and arrangements to mitigate or contain perceived risks. In many cases these concerns are mitigated with analysis.

Guildfoss has carried out many due dillgence projects for blue chip clients seeking to provide assurance to their corporate legal or audit functions. For large estates, we may also recommend employment of specialist testing and assurance companies, or software specialists where risks materialise.
